Dorian could be the strongest hurricane (4th category) to hit Florida's east coast since Andrew. Heavy rain can cause deadly floods. Officials, including Florida's governor, have urged people to have 7 days of water, food and medicine supplies available -- and coastal residents already are stripping store shelves bare with Dorian in mind. It's a good idea to stay on top of information from federal, state and local authorities.
